2016 Lego Star Wars Advent

For the past few years I’ve been getting the Lego Star Wars Advent calendars. Last year I did a daily post on Instagram of the prize. These aren’t super high quality, just 60 seconds effort after I built it.

This year I did the same so I thought I’d do a blog run down of all the sets.

December 1st - Slave One

Doing my #Lego #starwars advent calendar countdown again. Dec 1st and it's Slave One.

December 2nd - Bespin Wing Guard

Day 2 of the #Lego #starwars advent and it's a Bespin Wing Guard. Apparently only the 2nd time this figure's been available so quite a rare one.

December 3rd - TIE Interceptor

Day 3 of #Lego #starwars advent is a adorable tiny TIE Interceptor! #fortheempire

December 4th - Imperial Navy Trooper

Day 4 of the #lego #starwars advent is an Imperial Navy Trooper!

December 5th - Rebel Gun Implacement

Day 5 #lego #starwars advent is a Rebel gun inplacement as seen on Hoth. Bit underwhelming but would go well with the Ion Canon and AT-AT from last year.

December 6th - Imperial Snowtrooper

Day 6 of #Lego #starwars advent is an Imperial Snowtrooper. This is a really nice accurate model that could only be improved if they included the fabric duster coat.

December 7th - Snowman and snowball gun

On the 7th day of advent #Lego #starwars gave to me a rather forgettable snowman trooper with snow gun.

December 8th - Rebel 1.4 FD P-Tower

Day 8 of #Lego #starwars and we're back on Hoth, again, for a Rebel P-Tower. Bit of an odd one as there's no Hoth rebels so far to go with it so maybe a hint at what's to come?

December 9th - Rebel Hoth Trooper

Playing a bit of catch-up: day 9 of #Lego #starwars advent is a Hoth Rebel Trooper. As I guessed the other day!

December 10th - Venator Class Star Destroyer

And for day 10 of #Lego #starwars advent it's a Venator class Star Destroyer from the prequel trilogy. Nope didn't have to look up the proper name for this one. Okay, just a smidge.

December 11th - Trade Federation Droid Army AAT

Day 11 of #Lego #starwars is a Trade Federation Droid Army AAT. It's an okay model but nothing to shout about.

December 12th - HMP Droid Gunship

Day 12 of #Lego #starwars and it's a droid gun ship thing. File this one under filler.

December 13th - Trade Federation Battle Droid

Day 13 of #lego #Starwars advent is a Trade Federation Battle Droid. Not the most exciting #minifig but not a terrible one either.

December 14th - Obi Wan’s Starfighter

Day 14 (ooh half way! Must be all the minifigs bar one by now though) of #LEGO #StarWars advent and it's Obi Wan's star fighter from the prequels.

December 15th - Tantive IV

Day 15 of #LEGO #Starwars (aka Rogue One day) is the Tantive IV that first welcomes us to the Galaxy far far away back in 1977.

December 16th - U-3PO

Day 16 of #LEGO #Starwars advent gives us U-3PO. A nice addition to my protocol droid collection.

December 17th - Gonk Droid

Day 17 for #LEGO #Starwars advent gives us a Gonk Droid!

December 18th - Jabba’s Palace

Day 18 of #LEGO #Starwars advent is Jabbas Palace. Apparently, I had to look this one up but I can see it now.

December 19th - Luke Skywalker (RotJ)

Day 19 of #LEGO #Starwars and we're getting close to the end. That doesn't mean all the good stuffs done as today we get Return Of The Jedi Luke Skywalker complete with robot hand and green lightsaber!

A photo posted by Christopher Pearson (@maninsuitcase) on

December 20th - Desert Skiff

Day 20 of #LEGO #Starwars is a Desert Skiff to go with Jabbas Palace. Whilst a clever set to get something recognisable from just 10 parts it's not the most exciting.

December 21st - Imperial Stormtrooper

Day 21 of #LEGO #Starwars and we get the best minifig so far (not biased...) an Imperial Stormtrooper! #fortheempire

A photo posted by Christopher Pearson (@maninsuitcase) on

December 22nd - Imperial Shuttle

Day 22 of #LEGO #Starwars advent is an Imperial Shuttle. I was so not fussed by this one I forgot to post it last night!

A photo posted by Christopher Pearson (@maninsuitcase) on

December 23rd - Sleigh

Day 23 of #LEGO #Starwars and it's the penultimate day. Like the last few years we've been given a sleigh. Not the best one if I'm honest.

December 24th - Snow Wookie

The final day of #Lego #starWars advent and it's the special minifig as always. This year we get this cool character, it's a snow Wookiee!

In all this was a good advent calender. As always not the cheapest way to buy LEGO but I already am looking forwards to next years.
